The Marangu Route—often called the “Coca-Cola Route”—is one of the most popular paths to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Known for its gradual slope, solid hut accommodations, and scenic beauty, this route is ideal for first-time climbers. As a solo hiker, enjoy a private, fully supported trek with a dedicated team focused entirely on your success and safety. .


🗓️ DAILY SCHEDULE

Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

• Pickup from Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO)

• Check-in at your hotel, pre-climb briefing, gear check

• Rest and acclimatization

Day 2: Marangu Gate (1,870m) → Mandara Hut (2,700m)

• Hike through lush rainforest (~4-5 hours)

• Overnight in Mandara Hut

Day 3: Mandara Hut → Horombo Hut (3,720m)

• Ascend into moorland terrain (~6-8 hours)

• Views of Mawenzi Peak

• Overnight in Horombo Hut

Day 4: Horombo Hut → Kibo Hut (4,700m)

• Trek across the Alpine Desert (~6-7 hours)

• Early dinner and summit prep

• Overnight at Kibo Hut

Day 5: Kibo Hut → Uhuru Peak (5,895m) → Horombo Hut

• Midnight summit attempt via Gilman’s Point
